The Future of Toledo Initiative focuses on working together to build a better tomorrow, today. Over the last few months, we held four large-scale community meetings involving over 700 people and identified 14 Strategic Projects for 2013. Our next step is to move to action. On January 16th, we will meet again to form teams around each of the projects identified. View our strategic plan and projects below.

- Develop Regional Education Master Plan (Involve & Mentor)
- Determine Feasibility of a Water District
- Launch an Econ Dev Corridor
- Advance Waterfront Development
- Promote Citizen Engagement through Volunteerism
- Create an Incentive Program for Attracting & Retaining Businesses (e.g., Downtown Hotel, Downtown Grocery Store)
- Eliminate Blight & Repurpose Land
- Create the Toledo Off Road Jeep Trail
- Craft and Launch a Park & Rec System Master Plan
- Engaging the Public with Existing & Future Police & Fire Officers
- Create a Common Vision Among: Board of Community Relations, Better Community Relations Board, the Mayor’s Coalition for Hope, Dept. of Neighborhoods, and the Youth Commission
- Design 311 Call Center Integration to Improve Customer Service
- Arts – Partner with the Arts Commission to Put on a Great Event.

- Advance Waterfront Development
- Promote Citizen Engagement through Volunteerism

- Design/Integrate 311 Customer Service Call Center
- Arts – Partner with the Arts Commission to Put on a Great Event
The purpose of this team is to work to partner with other organizations to put on great events in Toledo.
